MINISTRY TO COMMUNITY AND WORLD

Every member of our church is invited to help organize and to participate in the numerous activities we sponsor.

Our congregation is committed to support various organizations throughout our community with annual monetary and/or in-kind contributions. Members of our church serve meals regularly at the Transition House and the Community Kitchen. Also, as an Open and Affirming church, we advocate for the gay community. We raise funds to help those in need in our community and throughout the world. Here are some of the organizations our church supports; we encourage you to check their websites and to consider volunteering for them.

IMMEDIATE AND LONG-TERM NEEDS

♦♦♦ Worldwide Disaster Relief ♦♦♦
To contribute toward disaster relief of any kind, donate online through the UCC site.

♦♦♦ Need in Haiti Continues ♦♦♦
As individuals, we witnessed with frustration and helplessness when this massive earthquake destroyed Haiti. As compassionate individuals we can help by supporting organizations that make it their goal to combat the hardship in that country.

♦♦♦ Back Bay Mission ♦♦♦
Back Bay Mission serves the poor dealing with the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, as well as those still struggling in the long-term aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
